I will need a few reference photos, preferably from different angles. They must have good lighting and show markings clearly. The more the better, so don't be afraid of sending lots.
If the pet has passed away, or you only have a few photos of them then it would be helpful if you could provide a detailed description of their markings/colouring. Images pulled from Google with similar fur colour/body shape work great!
I will keep you appraised and show you sketches so you can be sure it's just right. If there are any fundamental changes you wish to make (ie body shape, expression) then please let me know during the sketch phase! This makes it easier for me to change and speeds up the process for you. Editing a final piece is difficult, so that would help me a bunch!
